Next Quilt

Hi friends1
Cloudy rainy day1
My drawing that i hope will be the tree quilt for Brad and D.J..
I may put a few leaves on it but since it's going to be a black tree, not many.
I though some knot holes , one or two.
Now just to get the courage to cut into the fabric.
Pray for me i have never tried any thing like this before.

Yesterday

Hi friends!
Beautiful day!
I finally got the fabric to start Brads and D.j.s quilt.
They want a red quilt with a big black tree sewed into it.
How i am going to do that, i don't have any idea!!! Guess i will look on u-tube and see if there's a video for that.

They are getting a lot of work done on our house. This is our sun room!

They got the first window in yesterday.  It will match the ones in our sun room in lengh. The ones in the sun room doesn't have the dividers in them but the ones on the back and side of the house do so they match.
All the other windows hubby and i put in or hubby and my son.
I helped him do the ones in the sun room.
All 9 of them and they are 6 foot tall.
Internet has been out all day to day.  We have been with out  phone , t v, and Internet.
It was on when i got up this morning but went off before 9 o:clock and came back on after 5.

Finished Their Quilt

That panel sets it off!!!

It is huge but it must be because Alex is at least 6' 5''.
I sent them a message and now have it in the washing machine.

Alex's and Kim's quilt

Hi friends !
Beautiful day!
This is what i did all after noon yesterday!
I would quilt a little while and then get up and move around are go outside.

I may have 1/4 th of it quilted!!!
I will work on it today and maybe finish so it will be ready for the binding.

It is just hard on my old shoulders so i have to give them a rest after a few minutes.

Alex's And Kim's quilt

Hi friends!
Cloudy cool day!
I new when i sandwiched this it wasn't going to be quit wide enough.

I cut a 8 inch strip of muslin, measured at the widest point of the lack of fabric so it would fit all the way down the side of the quilt.

Then i pinned it and sewed it down.
There is a small problem with stretching on the front , i will try to fix that before i quilt this quilt.
You all know how hard polyester is to quilt.
 So i want to fix every thing i can before i start.
Maybe tomorrow i can get it ready to quilt.
Don't know what to quilt on it.  The quilt i just quilted i did flowers all over but don't think that would work on this.
The front peices are so large that you can't stitch in the ditch.
But i will think of something, if it's just vines.

Alex's And Kim's quilt

Hi friends!
Beautiful day! Got her ready to sandwich!

Only thing is the backing slipped a little so now i will have to add to one side.
My bed is higher so less strain on my back.
You can spread plastic between your backing to protect or just spray really close.

I put this on to pretty up the back!!!
Maybe i will have time to quilt it this weekend but it's looking kind of full right now.
I will work on it every chance i get.

Alex and Kim's quilt

Hi friends! Beautiful day!
I started Alex's and Kim's quilt.

This was a easy flimsy to make. Just add fabric!

My camera likes to take the color and change it.

This is 99% brown so i added some on to the sides.

This made it 90 inches by 82.
I think that will make a nice size for their bed.
When i went looking for this brown because i didn't have enough i found some which is a first.
Usually they are sold out of any thing you need!

Finished Aden's Quilt

Cloudy day!
I quilted all around each square on this quilt and around the boat and in between each line of sashing.

I like his little boat with sock monkeys.

Got some good sunlight on it there!
It's in the washer right now !
I will start on his parents quilt now

Aden's Quilt

Hi friends!
Rainy day!
I sewed around each square of the 'i spy' quilt for Aden.

Cutting threads from the quilting.  I cut the front as i go but the back i don't so it's a mess.

I missed one or two.  I started sewing around the squares yesterday and then sewed all afternoon and still missed some.

I think since Aden is a rough and tumble boy that i will machine sew the binding on.  After i hand stitch it down .  Double  stitching so it will hold no matter what.
His birthday is this month so i should have it done in plenty of time.
I think Kim said she was giving him a birthday party on  the 20th.
I have fought Blogger for two hours just tiring to get some pictures to down load to the blog.  Now i am giving up for today!!!!!!

Quilts!

Hi friends!
I still haven't finished quilting this one.
I think i will sew around each block today and then decide what else to do to it.

I added the top and bottom , now i have to add the sides to this one and then a border!
I will have to dig out the dark green i bought for the border and see if it matches up like i think it will.
Don't know where i put it!
I heard from them and they said they loved it so it all   ahead with it, got my battening yesterday after the DR. visit.
Then i will like one baby boy quilt and three queen sized quilt's and my oldest grands will have a quilt apiece.
We have one grand on bed rest tiring to hold one to Great grand 13, prayers please.

Quilting Again!

Hi friends!
HOT!
After we got home from Brothers house yesterday, i re-sandwiched this quilt and started quilting again

 But I didn't know what i wanted to do with it!!!!!
So i just cut off the machine and went and read  a book that i had started.
I hope some thing  comes to me today, but i can always start Aden's parents quilt if nothing does.
Mark sent me a message to let me know he liked his quilt so maybe they will come over soon to get their quilt and their two boys quilts too

Done!!!!

Well after working on it for days i finally got it took apart so i can redo it.

Then i can start on this one.
Alex and Kim's quilt.
That top quilt is Aden's quilt , their little boy that will be 3.,i think this month.
This one will be simple with this panel in the center, I hope!!!
