Lola's quilt

Hi friends!
I added the green border to frame the quilt.
It's going to be twin sized so it's big enough.

Now i will work on the horses , give them a mouth ,eyes, and a mane, so she will know what they are!

This is Lola, she will be two next sat., not tomorrow..
She will wonder why we didn't get her a toy but i am sure her mother will tell her.

Hi friends!
I left off with working on these horses!

I added this to break it up before adding these!

Some bright and girly but, not to much, squares.

I had to use my euro to do zigzag on the edges of the horses because it's the only machine that i have running that does that..

I added another row to get it longer.

That is where it stands right now.

Lola's quilt

Hi friends!
I decided to change horses. I like this better  than the small horse.

  With a little stitching he will look more like a horse.

I think i told you the last time she was here Hubby put on a horse race and she hopped up on the couch and couldn't take her eyes off of them. This is the child that is never still!  Ever since she learned to walk she has been running.
So i had to add some to her quilt.
I have until the eighth of August to make it because that's her birthday.

Our Trip

Hi friends!
This is where i last sewed on this. we have been in Fla. at the Mayo Clinic for Hubby a test.

It's beautiful down there and i used to spend a lot of time there when Sis lived there but my allergy's don't like it now.

Where we stayed , we walked every where that we needed to go.
They did the test , found and marked the tumor that hubby needs removed.
We go to the Surgent next week to see when he can remove it.
Going to sew today , haven't in nearly a week.

Lola's quilt

Hi friends!
I started Lola's quilt Monday, cut the panels into and added little deer fabric between.

She will be 2 next week and loves deer.
Well they were over the other night and hubby was changing channels on the t.v. and a horse race came on!     Lola run closer to the t.v. and watched it like she loved it.

So yesterday i enclosed the deer in little deer and added white so i could add this!

I am hoping to add a line of these all around the deer part on the  quilt !

Going to work on it some more later today.

My Sat. Finish

Hi friends!
This is my daughters bed with her quilt  and pillow shams on it .

My pictures of it , she was teasing me about making another one just like it after i said never!!!!

This was made in the late afternoon so the sun was behind it.
Its heavy!

I used this battening , hoping to keep my babies all warm in the winter, of course we sleep with one all year long.

MY Daughter's Quilt

Hi friends!
 I finished it ,
Just now sewed the label on.

This was a pain and a half but for my daughter i did it. Love you baby!

Just hope she doesn't want something harder next time.
She wanted a paper pierced one but the pattern cost 75$ and neither one of us could afford that .

I am checking for left thread and clipping those now!

Binding Daughter's Quilt

 Hi friends!
I have made good time on binding until last night when we had company.

But should finish tonight.

Our company! Sweet great grands!

I should have it finished , washed and dried by Sunday, she has been working long hours 6 days a week.
Hopefully she will come and get it Sunday!

Nearly through and Lola's deer quilt.

Hi friends!
 I got all but about a foot of the border quilted.
I had quilted it in white and didn't like it so last night i took all of that quilting out , now its ready for me to finish.
Then i will make the binding for it , hopefully it will be finished this weekend.
I couldn't sleep last night for thinking about my next quilt.
Going to make Lola a deer mostly quilt , she will be 2 next month and loves deer
It will be a twin sized!

This a big big quilt , and heavy!
Not trying that star again  , it's a bear!
Daughter will have the only one of those .....unless one of my kids wants one that is!

This is the fabric that i bought for Lola's quilt!
Maybe i will get it started next week.

Still Quilting

Hi friends!
When we got home Sat. night my machine had a fit!
I worked two hours on this quilt and didn't get much done .
Broke a few needles !. I think i bragged about it and it heard me!!!!
That was all the work i did get done to it this weekend with going places and working on other things.
Hopefully i will get more done today!

I have about half of the quilt quilted.
I want to finish the white and change the thread for the dark blue borders.
Maybe i can get that done today.

Happy Forth

Daughter's Quilt

Hi friends!
I am still quilting my daughter's quilt.
I work on it a while and my wrist hurt so i quit and go back to it latter.

I was looking for some fabric to make a bag and found!!! this that i had forgot i had!
I need to use some of my fabric up because it's overflowing in every spot that i store it.
I did that for a while and then went back and quilting for a while.

Seems like the bobbin runs out every 5 minutes!
What's good about this machine is that i can rewind a bobbin with out unthreading my machine. I love my Brother 1500.
It's a great quilting machine and  sews every thing else.

Our first tomato out of our garden!

Quilting

Hi friends!
I  worked on this Monday and some yesterday but still have a long way to go.

Had to bring baby back because i needed to sew something and when you set your machine up to quilt you don't want to use it to just sew.

They are to hard to get every thing just right!
So i don't mess with it once i get it quilting just right.

Hubby was out bright and early to get a start on his big yard.
This is behind the garden.
