Lola has her quilt

Hi friends!
This is Clair holding up Lola's quilt.

They came over Sat. morning and i gave it to them.
Lola had to get up on top of it!
She knows it's her's.

She liked it!
She's a sweetie pie 95 % of the time!

Clair wanted a picture of her tongue.

The deer panels in the middle with my version of horses heads.

I ran into every kind of problem with quilting this but so glad it is finished!

Lola's quilt

Hi friends!
I have been working along on this binding.
Should be finished with it soon and get pictures and wash it .
I need to make a label to. I always forget to do that !!

I still like some , maybe i will finish it today.

Last Friday they took all the rest of his staples out and told him he could drive and cut the grass as long as all he did was drive his lawn mower or tractor. He still can't pick up any thing weighing more than 15Lbs so i do that for him.
So he has gone to town with that., He does take frequent brakes and doesn't do the whole yard like he did before he had surgery.
He worries about that grass!!!

Lola's Quilt

Hi friends!
I quilt off and on most of yesterday afternoon.
Took out and re- quilted it more times than i could count!
But i finally got finished with the quilting and added the binding.

It was a pain in the tush!
But my fault, i used some very soft and warm backing and it crawled something fierce.

Now it's waiting for me to hand sew the binding down.
I should be finished with it and wash it later this week, so i can give Lola her quilt the next time they come over.

Doesn't she look sweet that's Clair to the left of Lola.

Lola's quilt

Hi friends!
I have been quilting Lola's quilt.
But i ran into trouble!

See!
I will be taking out today!
Hubby drove for the first time yesterday, he was glad , just went to the drug store to pick up pills.
He came home and put his jeans on but last night they started bothering his surgery site so he took them off.
As bad as i hate it i have got to get to work picking seams out of that quilt.

Sandwiching Lola's Quilt.

Hi friends!
I sandwiched  Lola's quilt.
Hope to get some quilting done on it today.

They came by after Church a week ago to see how Grand paw was.

Maybe i can get finished with Lola's quilt this week and i will let them know so they can come and get it.

Lola's quilt

Hi friends!
 I found this owl fabric that want clash with the green.

I added three inches onto the sides and two on the top and bottom. I have worried about what to do with the horses for weeks but decided to paint their mane's on because two year old girls could pull off any thing else that i used.

This is the first coast of paint but i will add to it , hopefully to make them more real looking.
Not the greatest job of painting but It is looking more like a horse. When she saw the quilt top she called them dogs!
I tried to work on some sweats of Hubby's with my Euro sewing machine and it wouldn't even stitch , don't know what happened to it.
You can't buy sweats around here this time of year.
We went to the sports store and found him one pair and he has some old ones.
Of course he want wear them after he heals.
But right now they feel good.

Lola's Quilt

Hi friends!
This measures  59 across so i could add a border to get to twin sized.
It's plenty long enough but i could add a small top and bottom border.
The only thing that i have is black with butterflies that would work for a small qirl's quilt.
Don't know how it would look on this!
But i guess i will see!!!!

This is the fabric, it is a scrap quilt but i think i may look for some more just to see if i have something that works better.

Sunday visiting

Hi friends!
I added this onto the side of Lola's quilt but didn't like it so took it off.
Hope to get started today working on it so i can sandwich it.

They came by last night after Church to check on Grandpaw.

Clair had to show me her phone!
It was late and Hubby wasn't feeling good at all.
It will be awhile before he gets over his surgery!

I have started adding stitching to the horses!

I am trying to find a stitch that works for a mouth and eyes and manes for each horse,

Not to  happy with this right now but i will keep  trying.
