Next quilt

Hi friends!
I cut up a few more 3 inch scraps to mix in with what i had. and sewed some strips together.

I have a nice stack started here.

I sewed up 2 more and trimmed them. That make 3!
I decide i would do the good night Irene block quilt, later i will do the scrapy star in an effort toward getting rid of some of the boxes of scraps.
Colette looked it up for me she blogs here. Go and visit her blog.
 I had no idea where i had seen it at. I have great blogging friends. Always coming to the rescue.

My Next Quilt

Hi friends!
My next quilt is going to be a scrap quilt. Either this pattern or the scrap star.

One or both of these. Don't know where i got these but several bloggers are making these two patterns. wish me luck in getting rid of some of these scraps that are all over the place!

Friday Finish!

Hi friends!
I finished my ticktacktoe quilt. I backed it with Ikea fabric.
It's a lap quilt that i made for some one else.  I will let you know who at a later date.

I did the binding with some fabric that i got from connection threads.
Thread except for a little came from them to.

It's for someone that loves this color.

Today

Hi friends!
Monday i got some more thread to match, not as good but it will do.
Different brand.
But didn't want to wait for days for the other to come.
After i started quilting it didn't take long to finish.

Now it's on the couch being hemmed.

I just work on it while the 11 o'clock  news is on .
But i should get finished tonight or tomorrow.

Look how many leaves are on the ground under this tree already.
It's so dry here that every thing is turning early.

Just wish that yellow ragweed across the road would die.
We sit outside and drink our coffee every morning and i will not give that up because of an old weed.
But it makes me pay. I take Zertex every day but doesn't really help. a few days i took two.
I take the off brand of it.
Well today my windows 10 is off, after 3 or 4 days on. I may have to figure out how to turn it off. If i didn't have firefox i wouldn't even be able to use this computer.
Has any one noticed when you get on a new blog that you want to follow the GFC doesn't show up?
I have noticed this on several that i wanted to follow, don't know whether it's windows 10 or blogger trying to faze it out.
Or just my computer acting up.

Quilting

Hi friends!
I got nearly through yesterday when i ran out of thread,
Looked every where but didn't find any here to match so i will have to buy some today.

I decided to do flowers and leaves on this quilt.

Now it just waiting.
We stayed at home this weekend and only daughter came to see us. Sis is in Canada on vacation. She and a friend flew there Thursday i believe.
They were boarding a ship after two days there and stopping at lots of port down the coast.
I think she said she would be home next weekend..Must go buy thread.

Quilting

Hi friends!
I just decided to go with what i know and started quilting it.

Not feeling to good so i plan to take my time.

These are the  only flower that is blooming right now.
My crape myrtles as still blooming , i have three of those.

I didn't know i had one there a bush has growed up over it and this is the first year it has bloomed.

Quilting and Ragweed

Hi friends!
Started quilting but it's a slow go because i really haven't figured out how i want to quilt it.
I am stick between flowers and a star quilting pattern I saw on the Internet.

This is the field across from the house. Just a field of yellow from those things.
As you can tell our country hasn't cut our road side in a while.
We went to the Dr. Monday and he said hubby could go back to week eating. but hubby has this mess that goes with rag weed just like me.
We are really dragging!
Got me some chocolate to see if that will get me going.
I will let you know if that helps, haha
Any excuse!

Sandwiched quilt

Hi friends!
Sandwiched my tick tack toe quilt over the weekend.

It's lap quilt size so i am doing it on the bed.

A couple of years ago i won 2 1/2 yards of this fabric and it was 60 inches wide. She said she got it at Ikea.
There was a bunch left after i cut off enough for this.

All done . Maybe i will get it quilted some time next weekend.

Tick Tack Toe Quilt

Hi friends!
Two rows sewed!

This is 60 square so will make a good sized lap quilt.

My Tick Tack Toe quilt flimsy!
Maybe this weekend i will get the backing sewed together and get this quilt  sandwiched.
I hope i have enough of the solid to bind it with.
Very cloudy but so far no rain, suppose to rain tonight and turn cool.
Fifty's at night and 70s during the day.
For a few days then back to the 90's

Tick Tack Toe quilt

Hi friends!
My last block!

I needed that one to go in that spot.
My tick tack toe quilt!
Maybe i will get the top all sewed together this week!
It's just a lap quilt so hoping i have enough of something to back it.
I think my next lap quilt will be a Christmas one.
I like the falling charms one. Thinking about making it next. Unless something else comes up that is ! You never know who might get pregnant at any time and need a baby quilt.

One more block!

Hi friends!
Two more blocks done!
I still like another of the print.
They are so big that these 9 will make a 60 inch square lap quilt.

Setting it in a tick tack toe style.
The name of the pattern is x's and o's or hugs and kisses

Had a great time at brother's yesterday, with my sister and sis-in-laws side to.
We have know each other so long we are just one big happy family now.
Went back to church Sunday, they were having BBQ afterwards but we didn't stay because of Tommy's diet.
Not ready for BBQ yet.

I will just have to take it apart for a x.

The church sent him some flowers.

New Quilt

Hi friends!
I love the x's and o's quilt so i am making this one by that block.

Haven't got this one sewed together yet!

Isn't that a pretty block?
They are 20 inch's and i am going to make a lap quilt.
I guess i had better find out how big a lap quilt is suppose to be.
Love this fabric to!
Hubby walked to the mail box this morning and brought this back!
People are always throwing things in our ditch in front of the house.

Its a beer bottle made out of been can material!
Hubby quit drinking years ago and they have had to come out with this sense My oldest died in 2001 because neither one of us had ever seen one made like this.
It kind of matches the quilt doesn't it?
Well its in the garbage now!
