New Quilt

Hi friends!
I have been cutting big tri-angles to use on this.
I dreamed about this and though I would try it.

Putting these on point!

Of course I need more!

I am liking it so fat !
It will be a lap quilt not big!
I finished 5 big ones this month and have a sore wrist for all the binding.
Dawn I did color!

I had bought some books for Tommy but he has never gotten in the mood to color yet.

New Quilt

Hi friends!
I had a jelly roll and my plan was to make a  rail fence quilt for a neighbor with cancer.
I made a bunch last night, 12 but one is on the couch, needed the seam ripper.

I honestly think that this is ugly! Their are about 4 different prints and 7different colors.
I am trying to think of a way to make it prettier.
I may put strips of white between each block. I have to trim them to the same size first.
I am really not liking sewing them together with out some relief between them.

Christmas Soon

Hi friends!
Working on quilts for gifts!
No more about that.
My quilting machine quit on me the other day.
Talk about nearly having a heart attack!
But I fiddled with it and got it to run, I am thinking a lose wire some where.
Don't even know if my machine man is still alive. He is older then me!
Hope I don't have to find out.

All these college people can put those to good use.

Another Table Topper

Hi friends! I made me a Christmas table runner.
Like the one Dawn's friend or either Dawn made it. Any way it was on her blog. She had a cut out Christmas tree sitting on it. I really liked it!
So I made me one as close as I could get to it.

I just kinda laid it on my table because I have my sewing machine and a couple of quilts and other things on it to and I was to lazy to move it just to take a picture.

Birthdays!

Hi friends!
My birthday present from Chris and Amy!

Tommy jumped straight up out of the bed when these started hitting the porch!
My daughter got me the sweetest sweater shawl.

She's like me and can't stand a heavy coat.
My birthday was Thanksgiving day! So was my step-daughters , Kim.
We are birthday heavy in Nov.

Abby's was the 18th.

Kim's was the same day as mine.

Next Quilt

Hi friends!
Looking for some thing different to make my daughter a Christmas quilt.

This block right now is 14 by 13 1/2 . I would even them out before I add them.  I didn't want to do another falling charm and I have looked and looked and nothing popped out and said "make me".
Colette sent me a Christmas charm pack last year and I bought another one for just this purpose.
Just got the red this morning in the mail to go with it.
I am going to look at it this weekend and see if that's the way I want to go with it.
Do you ever do that?

Nearly finished

Hi friends!
Nearly finished.
I am nearly through quilting, I did enough so I could bind and put on the label but want to do a little straight line between the rows
I did the white and around the border but a straight line on the red between the rows will finish it off.

It's lap sized for a dear friend with  health problems.
She needs hugs right now so maybe this will help.

Quick Quilt

Hi friends!
That little bit of color helped it so much.

It's lap  quilt size now but i need a little more.

Got that sewed together!

I had pulled the floral fabric but just didn't like it with the rest.
Since it was big enough i stopped with the red.
I'll save that fabric for another quilt.
Ready to sandwich!

Comfort Quilt

Hi friends!
I heard about a friend of mine that needed a comfort quilt so i started one Sat.
The blocks I made were kind of pale so i used some color between each one.
Using some Layer cakes squares that Julie Rose sent me when Kim was in the hospital that are just beautiful.

Laid out on the bed they just disappeared.

I just wanted a small line of color.

Going to make her a lap quilt because they are fast.

Working on Christmas

Hi friends!
This is one of the quilt tops that my mother-in-law made many years ago, a sneak peek because i want be putting much about them on my blog, they will be Christmas presents for my four girls  that Hubby  gave me.
As Abby said " you know it will be something guilty" Hubby said "you are telling them what we are giving them for Christmas but if i blog about it they could see . So only small sneak peeks , when i am finished , Hubby will decide who gets what.

I did get something finished!

Not the best i have ever done but it will work for my short hands.
