Trying again!

You can see where i took so much out. just hoping this works .
I set up my zigzag machine.

I am using it to do this little wall quilt.

 You need this to do zigzag or i do because it's all i can do to hem a quilt and that takes me days because my hands don't like it.

Another try!

Hi friends!
I have it hanging on my chair till I get my machine set up to quilt it.
While reading the institutions it said to use steam to glue the battening on to it so I got it took apart  and did just that and now it ready to go , I hope
When taking it out I realized that I had 80 % of the quilting done and I really didn't want to start all over again.
If this doesn't work I don't know what I will do!
Throw it in the trash I guess.
I would hate to start all over.
Don't think I will get finished with it  this month but if every thing goes good I might , who knows.
First I have to clean my big brother up and oil him good and change his needle.
and thread.   Just finished quilting a big queen sized quilt.
Want him to last as long as possible, with things made out of plastic even a high priced machine has plastic parts, mostly the gears but you can't sew with out them.

Ripping out

Hi friends!
This is what i did off and on all day Saturday.
I didn't sleep Sat. night because mu neck hurt!
So i didn't do any yesterday but i have a bunch out now by Wednesday i should be able to go back to quilting it.  Fingers crossed.

I was resting on my elbows so it got my neck. This getting old is not for wimps!!!!

That Quilt!

 I have though about this quilt and i am going to take out the bad parts and try again.
It may be a waste but i am hard headed and don't like to give up.

Trouble

Hi friends!
 I started to quilt it and decided i had better pin it really good.
But that wasn't enough , i quilted a little while and then spread it out on the bed and it looked awful...

I am thinking about taking all the quilting out and getting some more  battening for it  It just will not stay in place.
I have never had this much trouble with quilting one!
Maybe i will get it ripped out by next week when i can get some more battening.

Our weekend

Hi friends!
I finally got all the quilting that i had to  take out and ironed it but it doesn't stick on that side. It just slides around.
So now i am going to try to quilt it again!  I believe this may be the reason people hate this so much!!!  I have read on some blogs that they wouldn't ever use it again.
Can't throw it away now so i am trying it again .
If it does  quilt awful again i may have to just use it in bags and small things.   I will see because i would have to buy more battening in that case.
I wanted to finish this quilt and send it to my aunt this month.
I will let you know how it goes.

We had company this weekend. Couldn't no put their pictures on here.

Problems!!

Hi friends!
I took out what i saw at first and spread it out !
Found some more!!!!
I am using that battening that is sticky on both sides, if i ever get this straighten out i am going to iron the back to just to see if that helps.
I have read in a few blogs that they tried this and hated it.
Maybe the reason i am having so much trouble with it.
So this week end i will still be ripping our stitches and hopefully get to the ironing stage before Monday.

Problems!

Hi friends!
Something told me to check the back before i quilted any more.
And this is what i found!
So now every night i do this!

I work on it a little every day to try to remove all the quilting in that spot.

So things have stalled out on this quilt for the time being

I did do this as a start to my next Aunts quilt.

At least i can work on it as I take the quilting out on Paulines quilt.

Planning this year.

Hi friends!
Haven't done any sewing since last week. Except for the the wreath.
I moved stuff and cut scraps all weekend.

This is so i can use the 3 inch scraps in the next quilt, the ribbon star.

Need to finish quilting this one and get it finished to mail off , maybe by the end of the month.

Then i will start my other Aunts quilt .

That's all i have planned for this year on here but i am sure something will come up.

Today!

Hi friends!

The last two days i have quilted on Pauline's quilt.    Not very exciting but needed to be done , quilting with hearts.
On my other blog i finished this.

I loved this when i first saw it so had to make it, didn't i?

One morning we got up to this in our front yard.

I looked it up , it's Bear Scat!

Hubby used to hunt and though that was what it was!

In our front yard!

That is a little to close for me.

I knew there was black bears out on the mountain where sis in law lives but didn't think their was any around here. We live in the country but their are houses all around us.

Scary isn't it?

Pauline's Quilt

Hi friends!
I ironed this really good because i am using adhesive battening.  Never tried it before but it's suppose to do the same thing as spray.  I will let you know how i like it when i finish this quilt.

After i pressed it i put it backwards on the bed and made sure my backing was as taunt as i could get it.
Then i set my machine up to start quilting.

Now to just make up my mind how i want to quilt it. I put the walking foot on there but not sure , may change it out for a free motion foot.

Ready to quilt

Hi friends!
Back to working on quilts.
Ironing this one so i can quilt it.
It's for my Aunt Pauline so i must get finished so i can send it to her.
She fought Cancer when she was 85 and won, she will be 90 her next birthday.

I've had a good break haven't done mush sewing since Christmas day , just some piddling around.

I have worked on a wreath and played with my new sewing machine.

Love all the stitches it does.
Though about ordering a 1/4 foot but i am hoping my feet for my other brother machine  will work on it.
