Next Quilt

Hi friends!
This is the block i am going to use in my next quilt.
Don't you love it!
Can't wait to get started , maybe this weekend i can get a few more done.
But it's Hubby's birthday Sunday so we should have plenty of company.
I can see where i messed up but i think i will leave it that way, you know they say the Amish put a mistake in every quilt. Well i do it with out trying!
This quilt will be a lap quilt for a long time friend that lost her husband of many years.
We became friends before My youngest was born and he is 46.
Got to get some cleaning done

Hi friends!
This is a ugly block!
I ran out of one of the scraps and couldn't finish but didn't like it so i didn't care. Not my colors
Maybe i can use it on the back of a quilt.

I love this one!
I just love bright colors!
I have one more to do and it may be the one i use to make my next quilt.
I will post it next time.

A few things

Hi friends!
Just made this block to see if i want to make a quilt out of it.
I am still not sure! So i will make a few more !

I did make me a small foot-feed pad to stop my petal from slipping all over the floor.
It's a simple one that Crafty Gemini did a video of.
It's works! If i make another one i would make the binding a little wider.

Family Time

We had my family over for Hubby and brothers birthday to.

They had just left when they brought over Olivia.

Pinkaliscis

Hi friends!
Started binding last night!
It's not a real big quilt so i should finish before Friday.
Maybe they will come over this weekend so i can give it to her.

Not the best picture!
But it's nearly done , still have to take pictures, wash and put a label on when i finish this

Found this outside the garden the other day and Hubby found some inside the fence yesterday. It must be small ones! That's why Hubby put up that fence to keep out buggs bunny!
You know we found two babies in there and they got away when the tomato's were low to the ground and they had chewed on a bunch of them.
All the bottom tomato's have been picked so maybe their are none within reach of them now.

Pink Quilt

Hi friends!
Binding on and another trim.
I used the same fabric that i did the borders with.  Just barely had enough! I had only bought 2 yards.

It's on the couch now waiting for the news to come on.

I put up 6 quarts and one pint of salsa yesterday. One of my sil's asked if i was going to make some and then my baby girl asked so i had to make some.
I may make some more later , Tommy can't eat it but i like it sometimes.
Maybe if the tomato's hold out, this drought is killing every thing.
We got a five minute shower yesterday but we are behind over 10 inches now!

Quilted and trimmed

Hi friends!
My quilting on the back of my Pinkaliscis quilt.

Double Hearts! I finished it yesterday and got it trimmed. Just the first trim. I will trim it again after i get the binding on.

Shouldn't take long to get the binding on and bind.

This is my quilting Machine.
I leave it set up to quilt all the time, mostly because i have lost my baggies with all the other feet.
Just about give up looking for that baggie so i guess i will order some feet for it soon.  I will find them just as soon as i do!!!!
It didn't take very long to quilt it, Hubby was watching a race!

Sandwiched Pinkaliscis

Hi friends!
I got it sandwiched!
I used the bed since this is a lap quilt.

I sprayed and pinned the first part and rolled it up. I just put a few pins in because i don't spray the backing on it so it would be to loose if i didn't pin .

Now i have one ready to quilt, maybe while a race is on this weekend.

Pinkaliscis

Hi friends!
I put borders ,8 inch, on each side.
It being as long as it is i just added 3 inch borders on the top and bottom.

This will be it!
It's just big enough for one to use laying on the couch.
It's on the ironing board now waiting for me to make a backing for it. Then i will sandwich and get it ready to quilt.
Hubby is having to water again!

It didn't take as long since he has gathered all the corn.
We may quit watering when we get the water bill!

Pinkaliscis!!!!!

Hi friends!
I got a little sewing time so i worked on finishing my second block.

It didn't take as long as the first one!

I measured and sewed the two blocks together! Just right for the lengh of a lap quilt.
Then i found the border fabric!
This will look great
I have named this quilt.....Pinkaliscis!
I think that stripe will set it off .

Second Block

Hi!
 I got a little bit done on this last night!
When i finish it , it will look like this....

They measure 38 by 38 inches square.
Shouldn't take many of them to make a lap quilt.

Tomato's that are about ripe enough for picking.
We love our garden.

Pink Scrap Quilt

Hi friends!
Started my next block!
They measure 38 inches when finished ! I may not need but three with the right border.
Which would be good because i don't have a lot of this fabric.
Making it for my sweet step daughter that in her early forties is having Cataract surgery.
She had the first one done on July 1 and goes back the 15th for the other.

We had a rain yesterday and when the sun came back out the roof of Hubby's shed was smoking , the steam looks like it's was  on fire.
Got to do one for my last Aunt and i have been looking for a pattern.

I don't remember where i got this but it would use up a lot of scraps , and i need that.
But i am still looking because I need to finish this before i start another one.
Hubby is watching Congress dragging the FBI Director across the coals and really enjoying it.
I can here him laughing form three rooms over.
We are run by  greedy crooks!

I block finished!

Hi friends!
I finally finished one block, 3 more to go!

This was last Sat. but today we got up to rain, thank you Lord.
We got a small shower on Sunday but it didn't settle the dust..
I think its about to clear off but we need much more.

Unusual

Pink scrap block

Hi friends!
I did the rest of that row all the way around.

Got it this far!
This is just the last row on the top, i still like all three sides. It will be 36 or 37 inches when i finish  just one block. I am planning 4.  Should make a good lap quilt.

I finally started hemming this quilt. so i should have a finish by next week on it.

 Depends on what we do this weekend.  I may not have time to do much of nothing. I am canning this afternoon.
