Nothing is joined to the middle square!

I made some strips for the other side.

Made a few more!

So It want be long before I get these together.
Some time this weekend I will put the side together and try to sew it all together so that I can add a few borders.

Hi friends!
Here is where I stopped! Needed to cut some more white squares to finish.
I did and started putting it together.

I sewed the pieces together to make this.
Then tackled the other side.

Of course I will have to measure to see if it will fit or if I should adde some white to close it up.
Now I need to to the other side.

But it's looking good!

It's going to be one whopper of a king sized quilt!

Started working on one side of the star points.

One star point almost made.

Got them almost finished and ready to sew together when I ran out of white squares.
You know what I will be doing today! Cutting more!

Missy's Quilt

Hi Friends!
Worked on this Sunday afternoon a while. Finished the other star point.

Finished the star point but haven't joined them  going to work on the sides some this week. Then when I finish both sides I will add it on to the center.
After that all I will like is the borders.
Prayers for my Grandson Eli, a building fell on him last week. No insurance. refused to stay at the hospital and wife had to carry him back to ER last night. Worried about him . He is a sweet precious boy with my eyes .

Hi friends!
I have been working on the star points on the top of the quilt.

Nearly finished with this side.

Started on the other point!
The top part of my quilt is a little smaller than the bottom so I will have to add some where to get it to match. That's a project for this weekend.

Missy's Quilt

Hi friends!
Yesterday I worked on some strips on Missy's quilt.

The single's are for between the star points and the double's are for the border.
Mindless sewing at it's best!

Got a little carried away. Now I can start putting them together again.

I bought new pans to go under the eyes and cleaned my stove, now it looks like a new one. When we bought this some male idiot thought if the eyes went on and off it would save power.
Wish I had keep the one I had!

See our poor old mail box , looks to me like a teen with a metal bat hit it.

Tommy got the new one up and put the old one in it's box, said he would try to straighten it out and maybe use it next time.

Missy's and Strawberry's

Hi Friends!
Still sewing 2 1/2 inch squares together.

I counted the squares on the top corners and I didn't have enough so had to cut some more white. Finally I got them right! And started adding strips to the sides .

See , added a few lines trying to figure out how to do the sides because It's longer than the top and bottom so want work out like that did.
It's slow going when you have to stop and cut some more.!
We got strawberry's from Noah and Hagon for the baseball team.

Got one of these from each grandson.
I didn't get the chance to work on them until Friday.

That's all the sugar that whole bowl gets!
I was eating as I went , they were so sweet , just picked!

Ten pints! I may have eaten enough to fill a few more bags!
No calories right?

Hi friends!
I got one of the top corners done!

This one isn't sewed together yet!

I moved the whole top over so I could work on the corner so it's a little off center. It's beginning to look like a quilt!

Hubby went yesterday and picked up our last half flat of strawberries, so today I will work on putting them in the freezer. And cleaning this house!
It gets sadly  ignored when I sew a lot.

Hi friends!
Making corners again for the top part of the quilt.

I may have enough for both of them.

These are so pretty but don't last long. Tonight may finish them . Suppose to get below freezing.

The Bradford pears are still beautiful but they say they don't sale them any more. They cross breed some way that's not good.
Ruining fruit tees!
Who knew ? When I planted these 18 years ago they though they were the best.
I still think they are beautiful. We don't have any fruit trees because hubby's father was told they wouldn't live around cedars and we have several of them in the yard.
We have pine trees on the other side of the driveway. And hickey nut trees all around our yard.

Hi Friends!
Yesterday I got Missy's quilt out and started working on the bottom to make the bottom points of the star.

The hardest part to do is figure out the back wards parts since I am making both sides at once. Mirror image!

One more to go, I hope.

I laid it out and it seems to be just right so I counted the little 2 1/2 inch square on both the part I just made and the bottom of the center. I was amazed that it was just right.

two points to my star only six more to go!
Lots of seams and a million 2 1/2 inch squares.

Hi friends!
Most every day this week I have clipped squares apart while watching the news.
That's pieces of Missy's quilt.

I straighten up one part of my sewing room.
Only one! My sewing table is covered up but I have moved a lot off of it. You just wouldn't know it to look at it. I have to much stuff, mostly scraps of fabric. Need to do some every day and get it to where i can post pictures.
One day this weekend I am going to put some more of her quilt together.
Plus I want to get another quilt sandwiched.
