Hi friends! 

Abby's backing was finished last week. But Monday I got around to sandwiching it.

See how long it is but that's across . 

Now it's waiting to be starched and ironed.

Hope to have it ready to quilt by this weekend so I can give it to her on Thanksgiving.

Backing Made

Hi friends!

I started making the backing for Abby's quilt Sat.

Finished it off yesterday.

It measures 97 by 117  . The quilt top is a little less. I know it's 112 across. So this should be just right.

Going to put another table up next to the one on the porch and put it together.

It is hugh!

It's looking good!

Had to really put it over to get to the last two rows on.

I think this might be big enough!  112 inch's.

This goes on the sandwiching pile for this weekend.

Over the   weekend I added a few rows!

When I started I measured it and It was 80 inch's across. When I finished it measured 104 so I need another row or two to get it extra wide.

It is puddling in the floor ! Have a good one

Hi friends! 

This is where I stopped last time.

Then much hanging!

Added one row from the tote but it's getting close to empty.

So I started sewing rows then adding.

Added one , made another.

It's getting there!

Added another row before I quit for the day! Takes a little longer when you make the rows then sew them on.

I will have to fold it over to add more rows!

I want it just about sweeping the floor . 

Missy's I went by the charts but she had to put it sideways so this one will be extra wide.

Hi friends! 

I am making progress!

This is the whole amount that I have sewed together but for a king it will have to be much wider.

Now it's just barely hanging over both edges so I still need lots of fall on both sides.

Maybe by the end of the week It will be nearly done. Hope to finished it by her birthday and give it to her on Thanksgiving.

I hung it over the side of the bed so I would have room to work on it.

Put then next row together.

One sewed on and working up another.

Got it ready to sew on.

Hi friends!

Sat. I worked on Abby's quilt. Putting together rows.

I think I put it on here bottom side upwards. On the bed that is!

Another row. I am adding short ones together then adding them on.

Had to stop!

We got up feeling good but now we feel awful. Don't know if it's because it's cloudy but I  am ackey all over.

We really don't need to get sick.

Was going to take my featherweight to Rome to get it worked on but don't feel like it now.

Nothing I have sews as good as it does.

Hi friends!

I started adding row together  yesterday .

I sewed these together to show just how many I would need for this quilt.

I may have to make some more when I get the others sewed to make it a king sized. But maybe not , just have to wait and see.

Hi friends!
Got this wall full added with the new  fabric  so I could take it down and start adding onto the other's I have in a tote.
Of course today the mail man just brought me some more grey that I didn't expect for another couple of weeks so Now I will have to add a little of them here and there. I bought the new because I didn't think it would get here in time
 Oh well it will be pretty when I finish.

Since I bought the lacy fabric I have been adding it into the already done strips.
Big job!

It may take all next week to add it to all the strips on my wall and in the tote but after that I will start putting together all the strips.

Hi friends!
I have been making short runs because I wanted one more grey to add to each one.
Just bought it!

Another light, a lacy light grey!

Had to get some Velcro because what I had run out after  three of the five  adult bibs that I have  made so far.
Now I should have plenty enough , I hope !!!

Do a little each night but waiting on a fat quarter bundle that I ordered for it.
Hoping it gets here this week.
Last one I ordered came all the way from China and was a disappointment besides taking a month to get here but these are supposed to be mailed here in the good old USA.

Hi friends!
Last weeks strips of blocks.
The one on the end id this:

One row just to test for size., may add another blocks onto it.
So It will be nice and big.
When I put it together going to use the table that Missy and Ed got us along with the table we bought years ago for our family gatherings.
Just go out on the porch and do it there.
All these are now in the tote I am using for storing them and I will add some more this week..

Q-Bee's are making wheel chair quilts for the Centre , Ala. nursing home.
I am working on my forth one.

Sewed this one together last night.
Plan on filling the wall up again this week.

Had to cut some more  so that's what I did yesterday.
Then I worked on it a little while.

Then my play time was through because it was time for supper.

Got my quilt wall nearly full again.
