Hi friends!
This quilt is folded and waiting on me to iron it.
It will wait a while until I finish the one that I am working on.

When they cut down our trees they left out drive way like a roller coaster.
So Tommy got out there one day last week and worked on it.

That tractor does come in handy!

Hi friends!
Finally got around to sandwiching this quilt top.

It's in line now to do as soon as I get my daughter's quilt finished.
I still need to make Tonia's pillow shams but will do that while I am quilting the top. Can't quilt for to long it tires your shoulders pulling on it so much.

Beach Quilt

Hi friends!
After measuring it and determining that it need three inch strips, I found out it needed 1 1/2 inch strips. So used Jack the Ripper on it, just took a little while.
Got it fixed and sewed on.

Used 1 1/2 strips and putting on the top was a breeze.

Taking shape!

Tonia's Beach Quilt

Hi friends!
I started the top with just one block joined to the next one.

And two more.

Had to stop because I needed to get ready for Q-Bee's yesterday.
This will be the bottom of the quilt.
You can see that the  beach scene is up side down.
Just need to sew this one on  and make up the other blocks into the top.
But planning on going to see Allie Pinned tonight so maybe tomorrow.
She has two years of nursing behind her and will continue taking classes so she get a job that pays more.
Our babies are growing up!
After Next June we will just have one out of 22 that's still in high-school.
Next June we have one graduating from Lafayette, two from Trion and one from Gainsville.
Just hope we can make all of them. That two are not at the same time.

Tonia's Beach Quilt.

Hi friends!
I took off the three blocks I had sewed down to the panel.
Then added this! The ones on top of this post

Put them by my chair to be ripped!  . Then took three more and added the strips between each block and sew it onto the other side.

Now have a good part of this top done. Now for the tops and bottoms and the border.

Hi friends!
To make it work out right I am adding strips of sky blue between each block .

Sat. I sewed together eight blocks to go around the panel.

Nearly out of fabric but this should be just right , a couple of left over quarter blocks for pillow shams should do it.

The perfect amount of blocks to go around it with just a little help  from saching to make it fit just right.

I have all the blocks laid out so my next thing is to sew them into big blocks.

Lots of x's and o's!
Shouldn't take me to long to have a quilt top ready! Don't know how long it will be before  I will get to free motion quilt because this finger is still swollen and sore.
When I get this together I think I will add a small border of the navy blue to top it off!

Hi friends!
Made up a bunch of blocks yesterday.
Love those flip-flop's!
Then I made up beach umbrella's.

Then I added   dark blue around the panel.

Just sets it off!
And just enough blocks to make a large queen sized quilt.
With just enough left over to make pillow shams.
Maybe soon I can quilt . By then I will have three quilts to quilt.

Before I cut my finger I made these two blocks for Tonia's quilt.

This is the panel I bought for it, she wanted a beach quilt.  She loves Fla.!  Plus she loves blues!

This is the other fabric! I first got some dark blue with anchors on it. May use that for a border.

Hi Friends!
Missy holding her pillow shams!

I forgot to tell her yesterday that the horses in the middle of her pillow shams were fabric that I bought for Lola's quilt. Lola and Clair were her grands.
Hope this fits her king sized bed.

Tommy showed her this one and she loved it to.
Next year I plan on making them all Christmas quilts , maybe by the next year I will have enough strips to make her one like this.

Hubby helped me hang this and I would have put it right side up but he wasn't into quilts.

Definitely one of a kind!
Biggest quilt I have every made!
But she is worth it!
May spread it onto the bed and take a picture. Got to de-string and wash and dry it today. Pray for my washer and dryer! ha ha

Missy's Quilt

Hi Friends!
 I finally finished Missy's quilt!
When I cut my finger I just liked one side finishing the binding si I did that after I got my cast off.

With king sized pillow shams!
That has to be the biggest quilt I have ever made!
I will get pictures this after noon and post them tomorrow.
